watch, read, listen: march

Tv Show: The Vampire Diaries (Season 4)

I've watched Vampire Diaries since the beginning and found every season as gripping as the last. The storyline would take all day to explain, but it centres around two vampire brothers (Damon and Stefan, both of them alone are a good enough reason to watch this!) who are in love with a girl, Elena. All sorts of drama happens involving vampires, warewolfs and witches and it's one of those shows where you're left on a massive cliff hanger at the end of each episode! I totally haven't sold this you to, but try it - you'll love it!

I'm especially loving the 'new' Elena this season. Without saying too much to spoil it, her new attitude is great!

Book: The Sookie Stackhouse Novels - Charlaine Harris

I swear I'm not obsessed with vampires, but this month I've started re-reading the books that the True Blood tv show are based on. There's twelve of them in total, so far, and they're every bit at good as the tv show is. They're really gripping, and I feel like you get to know the characters better in the book. However with so many books in the series I've had to read two, leave it for a few months and then come back to it as I like to mix my books up a little!

Album: The Strokes - Come Down Machine

In other non Vampire related news, I've been absolutely loving The Strokes new album this month. On first listen I really didn't know what to think. I've loved The Strokes as far back as I remember, and this album is quite different from their older material. It sounds very 80's with lots of synth, but it's still recognisably The Strokes and Julian's voice is flawless as always. There are still a few songs I'm not too keen on, but there are some absolutely great tracks (Happy Ending is probably my favourite!) and an album must mean a tour, right? Fingers crossed!

As always, let me know what you've been watching, reading and listening this month! I love new recommendations!
