nivea express hydration primer

nivea express hydration primer for dry and sensitive skin

This two in one moisturiser and primer from Nivea has been on the market for quite some time now, but after picking it up last week and falling in love I couldn't help but share it on my blog! It comes in two variations - one for dry/sensitive skin and the other for normal/combination skin. As you might know I suffer from very dry skin, so whilst the other primers I use do an amazing job at making my make-up stay put all day, it's usually unattractive dry patches which leave my foundation looking patchy that I suffer from.

This is where this product comes in useful. I bought the one for dry/sensitive skin and put it to the test throughout a 12 hour shift followed by a night of bowling, drinking and dancing, and it easily kept my skin hydrated all day long. My skin literally felt like silk throughout the day and by the end of my day my make-up had not only mostly stayed put, but my skin wasn't showing any of the usual signs of dryness either.

The product itself is silicone based (which worried me at first, because I had a horrendous reaction to a silicone based Illamasqua primer!), although you'd never guess as it feel like a very light moisturising lotion with Nivea's signature scent. On application it sinks in almost immediately and leaves skin glowing, and creates the perfect base for applying foundation. My foundation has never applied so easily.

I'll definitely be buying this again and again!

  3. I have really oily skin so I have the complete opposite problem to you! I still find products for combination skin aren't right for me so I'm still looking for a primer that would be okay for me xx

  6. I want this now! I didn't realise they did 2 versions and I've been using the one my mum bought for herself (must've been the one for oily skin) and I hated how tight it made my face feel, this one however sounds perfect <3 Thank you for the review! :)

  7. I've never tried a 2 in one primer/moisturizer before, would be apprehensive about not using my much loved Liz Earle moisturizer but might have to give it a go.

  9. This is exactly what I've been looking. I don't know if it's the cold weather or what but my skin is so patchy lately and it's really showing at the end of the day! Thanks for the review!

  13. Haha I was surprised as well, but I suppose it's only fair considering all the stuff that gets released early here. That's incredibly sweet of you to offer! I have some stuff to use up first, but don't be surprised if you hear from me in a week or two! To see more info please visit essayswriters.org/paper-writing.
