rest and be thankful

It's times like this, standing on a mountain 800ft above sea level, that I realise how beautiful Scotland really is. Even in sub-zero temperatures with torrential rain, howling wind and fog, the views across Glen Coe were incredible and worth every second that I stood there shivering with my clothes getting saturated with rain. And to think that we almost drove right past it!

I don't think 'Rest and Be Thankful', the name of this little spot at the side of the road, could be more fitting!

  1. I was here during the summer and it reminded me how beautiful the country is that I live in. We were off to Oban for the weekend, which was gorgeous too

  7. I get to drive through here every time I go home to Islay! It can be a bit of a faff when there is a land slide mind you... SO pretty though. It's when I really start to feel like I'm home when we hit that spot.
