Purity is a gentle cleanser designed to remove both face and eye makeup, cleanse and tone the skin whilst lightly hydrating it. It's a thick liquid, which doesn't foam and instead feels creamy on the skin. Whilst I didn't find it left my skin particularly hydrated (I do suffer from very dry skin anyway but it didn't dry it out further), I couldn't believe how quick and easy it was at removing make up - even my notoriously stubborn Benefit 'They're Real' mascara was removed in an instant - and it left my skin completely clean and make-up free.
Having dry and sensitive skin I was nervous about using a daily exfoliator on it, but decided to give Microdelivery a try and I'm so glad I did. Having a gel like consistency, with the smallest exfoliating beads I have ever seen which almost feel like sand, it provided just the right amount of exfoliation without being too rough. Since using this face wash my skin has felt baby smooth and it has definitely worked it's magic at removing dead skin and left my face looking brighter with a healthy glow. I expected it to dry out my skin, but instead it actually feels softer due to dead skin being removed.
I've suffered from bad breakouts for the past year and whilst I've found products and prescribed medications that help, nothing has 100% cleared my skin up. I've been using these products for almost a month and for the past 2 weeks I haven't had one single spot or breakout, and my skin has completely cleared up leaving little to no red marks from previous breakouts! I actually left the house without foundation (which is a BIG deal for me!) a few days ago - it's made that much of a difference!
This is a bit of a lengthy review but I'm so impressed with these two products and would definitely recommend them to people who, like me, suffer from break outs - or even to anyone looking to make their skin feel and look healthier!
I'd definitely like to try more Philosophy products now. Does anyone have any recommendations?
