If there was an award for the prettiest lipstick, this new limited edition lip tint from Topshop's Sister of the New Moon collection would easily win it. I never buy or wear pink lip colours, choosing to stick with my trusty reds, but when I picked this up in Topshop a few weeks ago I walked straight to the tillpoint without a second thought.
There's nothing not to love about the look of this lipstick. From the clear, bright pink colour and generous amounts of silver glitter Crystal looks like something you'd find in a children's make up kit - in a good way! The packaging is also gorgeous, making me want to keep it in the box and treasure it.
Being a lip tint, there isn't that much colour pay off. I think my lips are quite pigmented anyway, but this applies almost clear on them and I find I have to wear it over a nude colour, as pictured above, to achieve a bold enough colour. The glitter, surprisingly, doesn't show up on my lips. Crystal also reacts to your skin to create a unique pink shade (as with similar products I think that has something to do with creating a colour to match your undertone, meaning it will suit anyone, however I may be wrong!) and it's also really moisturising. As I've said, I don't usually suit pink lips but I do like this colour and it's subtle enough for daytime wear.
When I remind myself that this is a lip tint, rather than a lipstick, and that I shouldn't expect it to be super pigmented, I think it's definitely worth buying. Although I think I'd probably still be happy to pay £9 for something as pretty even if it was rubbish!
