january glossybox

clarins extra firming day & night creams | murad skin perfecting primer
first aid beauty daily moisturizer | eyeko skinny liner

This months Glossybox arrived in an eye-catching pink box, complete with pink heart sticker and pink shredded paper. They even put a little Glossybox sweet in the box - full marks for attention to detail! The theme behind the box is perfecting products to pamper and preen yourself - just in time for Valentines Day.

I was so impressed with the products this month, I think this might be my favourite Glossybox so far. The first thing I noticed when I opened the lid was the two Clarins samples. I love Clarins, I just don't love the prices, so I was very pleased to see these! The products are great, as I always find with Clarins, and nourished my dry skin patches with 1 use. As a dry skin sufferer I'm glad to be able to try 2 facial moisturisers. A full size 50ml pot costs £48, so these 15ml samples are generous!

Murad is another brand that I love and I was excited to try this primer. It claims to create a smoother canvas and minimalise pores, whilst leaving a dewy finish on the skin. The product is a really dark beige colour, which I thought would be too dark for my skin, but luckily for me it almost disappears once applied and can't be seen at all after applying foundation!

This is the first time I've heard of the First Aid Beauty (F.A.B) brand and their packaging is eye-catching and different from the norm. It's recommended by dermatologists and contains no fragrance, no parabens, colorants or harsh chemicals. It left my skin feeling quite greasy for a while, but it sinks in and is really moisturising. They've got quite a big range of products in Boots, I'd like to try more!

And finally, an Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner. I received this in the Midnight Blue colour which I'm not sure suits me. If anyone has the pale pink and wants to swap, let me know! The product itself seems to be okay quality ok nothing special, pretty standard for Eyeko. The packaging is very deceiving though, there's no product in the silver bit making it quite small!

Did you receive this months Glossybox? What do you think?

  1. Everything looks so luxe in this box! Absolutely love how they've wrapped everything up, very Valentine's Day-ish.

  2. I thought the Eyeko pencil was quite sneaky too! It's tiny when you take the long silver bit off!

  7. I absolutely adored this month's Glossybox as well! Instead of Clarins I got two Davines products, which for me was brilliant as I love natural products.

But I think my fav was the primer :)

  8. Ah jealous of the Clarins stuff, wish I'd got those! Haven't had time to try the primer out properly yet, but it looks really good so I'm hoping I'll like it as I'm a bit obsessed with finding the 'perfect' primer at the moment. Overall I thought this was a really good box, I was going to cancel my subscription too but I think I might keep it for another month!

  12. I LOVE the Murad Primer, I thought it looked hideously dark too at first but it gives my skin a nice glow and works really well mixed with a little BB cream, it gives the perfect balance between even tone and light coverage- maybe something more toned for the summer but still a nice look! xx
