mmmelting marshmallow

I'm usually a fan of bath bombs and their fizzy reactions, but every once in a while I reach for a Mmmelting Marshmallow bath melt. If you're a fan of Snow Fairy, or any other sweet smelling Lush products, then this will be perfect for you as it has that familiar candyfloss fragrance.

Mmmelting Marshmallow slowly melts as you fill your bath, making the water creamy and leaving layer of light foam on top. It's not for those of you who like to be surrounded in bubbles, this one is all about the luxuriously soft texture of the water. When you step into the bath you can feel the smoothness on your skin, and after your bath (that's if you can drag yourself out - it's so relaxing!) you will be left with skin that feels like silk thanks to the cocoa butter and almond oil.

Upon checking the website to find out the price of this product, I read a little about the ingredients and found out some interesting facts (read them here) about marshmallow powder and discovered that doctors first created the marshmallow sweet as a cure for sore throats due to the plants healing properties. I love that Lush have detailed explanations for their ingredients - I love knowing why certain ingredients are used.

I always chop my Lush products up and only use a piece of them at a time to get value for money, but with Mmmelting Marshmallow I find that I have to use the whole product to achieve the desired effect. At £3.75 it is quite expensive, which is why I reserve this one for a bit of a treat!

Have you used any of Lush's bath melts?

  13. Love the sound of this. I haven't tried any of their melts but will do soon.
Also loving that I now have an excuse to eat marshmallows when I have a sore throat, although I don't like them without chocolate on so I'll have to have chocolate too :) xx

    1. Unfortunately marshmallows nowadays don't include the herb that helps sore throats, but you can pretend I said that and eat as many as you like! ;) x

  18. I'd never bought from Lush before I read your blog. I always thought the products looked nice, but the smell from the shops is so over-powering I'd never ventured in. Then I started reading your reviews.
I just got a big box of Lush stuff delivered. I hold you entirely responsible.
