week in photos #18

001. Dug out my SNES a few days ago and I've been having so much fun re-discovering all the games I have. So far I've been playing Super Mario Bros (someone deleted all my saved game data and I felt like crying!) and Street Fighter. Love it! Liam also showed me how to download and play old Nintendo games on my phone which means I'm probably never going to get anything done now!

002-003. Last night I went to The Arches to see Crookers and had the best night out in a long time! Good music, amazing atmosphere and great company but possibly a bit too much Jagermeister. I crawled home at about 7am this morning and haven't been able to get a proper sleep so I'm suffering today!

004. After my cravings last week, I finally caved and ordered Dominos pizza this week. It was Two for Tuesday so I spent the night in munching pizza and watching Beastly with a friend. The film wasn't very good, but the pizza was brilliant and has satisfied my cravings!

005. More food! Liam and I went for a mid-week mexican lunch and I ordered chimichangas. Up until I googled that link, I had no idea that they were deep fried tortillas. Mines was stuffed with rice and veggie chilli and was just perfectly spicy. I love mexican food and was thinking about making these at home but the fact that they're deep fried puts me off now!

006. This is a typical Friday night at work - ha! It might look all fun and games, but shortly after being bribed by pizza (don't worry - I only had one small slice!) we had to sit down and do a maths test to polish up our bill calculation skills. It turned into a big argument because we all work things out differently and in the end we were all more confused than when we started!

007. I wasn't very snap-happy this week so I was one picture short for this post. When Liam took this photo of me pretending to be in a bad mood with him he said "that's one for the blog"... I look completely ridiculous in it, but I thought I'd post it to give you all a laugh!

  5. Love Crookers and I've wanted to go to The Arches for so long but still haven't ventured up there, determined to make it one day! Hope you've recovered from your all nighter, I think SNES is a very good hangover cure - I'm regretting giving mine away just reading this post! x

  9. Ahh I didn't get to play SNES but I have fond memories of my sega saturn, those were days... Even today I only play the classics on my ps3, with the same crappy graphics and catchy tunes.

  16. I love mexican food! I think fajitas are probably the healthiest because you can pack them out with loads of veg and just chicken which is good for protein. BUT then I get tempted by all the toppings like sour cream and cheese and guacamole hmmm. Really want some mexican food now!
