aztec

base: barry m mint green | details: barry m bright pink, models on nail pen, collection 2000 yellow

Ugh, it's been such a nightmare trying to create this post. Not only has Blogger been down for maintenance, but my card reader refused to read my memory card, my camera USB has went missing and then it took me an hour to upload the pictures onto my sisters laptop and email them to myself. An hour.

Anyway! I finally got round to attempt number 2 at aztec nails and it seems that the key to (kind of) success is 'less is more' when it comes to detail. Everything's still a bit wonky, but I'm happy enough to blog them, which means they're not awful! I stole the idea from this picture on Tumblr, but applied it to all of my nails. God knows how the girl on Tumblr got her lines so neat. One day I hope I'm that good…

Today is my first Saturday off work in about a month, and my last Saturday booked off from work for the foreseeable future. I'm nursing a hangover at the moment, but looking forward to a day spent with Liam, some yummy food and a cheeky mojito at the Hillhead Bookclub (my favourite place!) later on. I hope everyone enjoys their weekend, I'll be back tomorrow to share my week in photos!

  29. They look amazing! SO intricate! I'm very jealous! I'm doing a Paint your Love challenge on my blog at the moment so I'm constantly looking for new colours and patterns for my nails...I will have to give something like this a go, although I know for sure I will smudge one or all of them! Looking forward to seeing more cool nail patterns soon!
