what remains

I honestly can't believe that it's been a week since Christmas - and over a week since I have last blogged! I've spent the past week celebrating with family, getting drunk (far too drunk, actually!) with friends, being hungover and working and the time has just disappeared! I'm going to make this post to tell you about all of my Christmas and New Years celebrations before getting back to normal blogging from tomorrow!

We had a fairly quite Christmas this year. We visited the family in the morning and everyone swapped presents before going off on our separate ways for dinner. Dinner was brilliant this year! I'm vegetarian so I always have to come up with something different from Turkey and a bit more 'special' than what I'd usually eat and this year I made layered squash, barley and spinach pie which I loved! Christmas night was spent opening more presents and playing Cluedo!

I got so many amazing presents this year, including everything in the picture above. A lot has been ticked off my wishlist! My favourites include the Disney Couture Alice in Wonderland 'Drink Me' necklace and the Sass and Belle Ditzy Owl Cushion and a pair of vibrating hair straighteners that work so well! Liam also bought me the Insects by starlight mini book by my favourite artist Kurt Halsey - it's even signed!

Some of my family have travelled up from London to visit us over Christmas and New Year so I decided to spend NYE with them! I finished work (that's right, I had to work up until 8pm! Who phones their mobile network for an upgrade at that time?!) and went to my auntie's house where we had a yummy dinner followed by drinks! We also had a fireworks display and my uncle had went a bit crazy when choosing which ones to buy! We needed a distance of 25m between us and the fireworks but the garden was only 4m long at most. Thankfully there were no casualties!

I've had a little think about whether or not to decide on some new years resolutions but I've decided not to. 2011 will definitely be the year of getting healthier and fitter, getting a job as a graphic designer and in many ways I hope it will be better than 2010 but I don't see the point in writing down a long list of things I want to do but probably won't!

I hope everyone else enjoyed the festive period. I'm off to catch up on all the blogging I've missed and find out what you've all been doing. There are just over 100 posts to read!
