001. I've been taking some pictures with my Diana Mini this week. I've already finished 1 roll this year so far (although nowhere seems to be able to develop it, it's some sort of mystery film!) and I'm hoping to finish the 2nd by the end of this month. I love my Diana, but it's such a different experience from film photography. I find it difficult taking many pictures because I don't know what they look like and I'm scared they won't turn out. Which is part of the fun of a Diana, I realise. I'm too much of a perfectionist!
002. Work work work. I feel as if that's all I've done this week. It's been absolutely crazy all week, with queues of 60 customers at times, but I can't complain as it's been great for getting sales. Although if I hear "can I have the iPhone 4 at £5 per month with unlimited everything?" one more time I might crack up!
003. I've been playing about with some designs for a logo for my friend Jenna's jewellery company. We finally decided on which one to use and I've made it into a rubber stamp for her to apply onto her packaging and achieve a nice vintage feel.
004. A few nights ago I made Nando's style portobello mushroom & halloumi cheese wraps, homemade guacamole and sweet potato wedges for dinner. It was delicious, tasted exactly like the one from Nando's and cost a fraction of the price. Success!
005. As I mentioned in my previous post, I went to see Black Swan last night and absolutely loved it. I think I'll be seeing it again whilst it's in the cinema, it's just that good. I won't spoil it for those of you who haven't seen it yet (what are you waiting for?! go now!) but every last detail is just perfect, and the acting was fantastic. I did cringe and cover my eyes in quite a few places though, yuck!
006. I've been reading quite a lot this week. I finally started reading One Day, by David Nicholls. It's the first book in a long time that I've been so engrossed in. It's brilliant, possibly a new favourite! I also discovered Oh Comely magazine whilst browsing WH Smiths and it has quickly become my favourite magazine. If you're anything like me and can't stand magazines full of celebrity stories, stories about how to achieve the perfect (read as: too skinny) body and would prefer to read about musicians, artists, photographers in a gorgeously designed magazine full of pretty photos and quirky articles then this is for you! I'm going to sign up for my first ever magazine subscription as soon as pay day arrives!
007. It's been really foggy this week and I had one of the worst driving experiences of my life because of it. Out of all the bad weather conditions, fog is the only one that scares me. I was trying to drive in it last night and I literally couldn't see 1 inch infront of me. I couldn't even see the cats eye lights on the centre of the road and ended up driving on the wrong side of the road, it was that bad. I had to turn back and take another route, which was almost as bad. Fog lights didn't help and it was pretty scary!
I'm so glad I took your advice and bought that magazine! I emailed them and submitted a few recipes too :)
